Expert opinion
The Learjet 45 is a light jet, first launched by Bombardier in 1998. Formally, it was a new family of aircraft, replacing the Learjet 31/35 models. Compared to them, the Learjet 45 offered greater capacity, range, and vertical takeoff speed.
The main competitive advantage of this model over its main price competitors (the Cessna Citation Bravo/Citation II and their derivatives) was its guaranteed capacity of eight passengers. Its disadvantages include a relatively small baggage compartment.
